    I have a $600 brick, and had to replace it by paying another $400 for my current iPhone. I'm hoping the iphone dev team will find a way to reflash the baseband firmware soon.

    Mine is still at firmware version 1.0.2 although I'm dying to upgrade to 1.1.1 but I think I will wait it out.
